NJIT is awsome place
The education departments are mostly pretty good and there are actually good amounts of opportunities for research and though the course work can be overwhelming, they are definitely good at preparing you for career-related work.
If you are less into school and more into the social aspect, I would not recommend this school. Also, the food isn't great and the Physics department has only a few good decent professors.
Hands-on experience and well knowledgeable professors.
My advice is to ensure your professor knows your name and not just your student number. It makes a big difference when you need assistance or a recommendation from your professor.
It’s a public technology school so I find it’s mediocre on everything across the board.
There isn’t a lot of opportunities to be sociable.
I like that NJIT is a fairly small college compared to places like Rutgers, etc. It means that it feels more like a community; it's easy to form bonds that feel like families here. I've certainly found people I know I want to be my lifelong friends.
It seems to be an issue that NJIT can be slow to respond in terms of certain issues. Additionally, the fact that it is the majority of men can be frustrating and comes with a whole set of issues on its own.
The diversity at NJIT is the greatest strength of the school.
The social life isn't the best.
