Grove City College proudly considers itself equivalent to an Ivy League school and provides an extremely intense and rigorous curriculum. The older campus is beautiful but maybe lacks accessibility and modern amenities. I can recommend Grove City only to students who truly want a challenge and are ready to dedicate everything they have to their degree.
The intense and busy schedule can get overwhelming at times, and even prevent you from making it to dining halls before they close.
Excellent academics and a strong community.
High standards are expected on all students.
I loved the unique environment, like-minded people, interesting professors and rigorous academics at Grove City College. Their food and dorms are not the best, but as a whole, the college is affordable and the academics make everything worth it.
The food and dorms are not of the best quality.
The academics at Grove City College are very rigorous; I wouldn't attend this school if you aren't expecting to work very hard. I've met a lot of really lovely, genuine people at this school, ranging from fellow classmates to upperclassmen to professors, and I've felt safe on campus since the first day I stepped foot on it.
The math department is a bit lacking, in my personal opinion; if I could redo my entire high school experience, I'd have taken AP Calc BC just to avoid the calculus computer science track entirely.
I like all the professors I have encountered. If you embrace and put effort into this college, you will be greatly benefitted.
This is a Christian college so chapel attendance is required.
