In addition to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Charles W. McClain had a long, respected career as a foreman for Constellium, and was admired by family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Charles was a hard worker and was known for having a rare and unbeatable work ethic. Many students today share these traits, demonstrating incredible drive in all areas of life. However, even the most motivated and dedicated student may face hurdles that are insurmountable. Financial strife can make higher education inaccessible, leaving students with limited options when it comes to paying for their tuition and other expenses.

This scholarship aims to honor the life of Charles W. McClain by supporting students from West Virginia who are working hard to earn their degrees.

Any high school senior in Roane County or Jackson County, West Virginia, may apply for this scholarship opportunity. However, applicants who have at least a 3.0 GPA and those who plan to attend college in West Virginia are preferred.
