The UW is diverse if you know what to look for. Upper-level profs tend to be white and a lot of people have not deconstructed race in their heads. George Washington needs to be toppled.
The on-campus food is ridiculously expensive. So is everything here. The bus system works but not as well as they sell it.
The diversity is great!
The food prices are stressful
UW Seattle has a beautiful campus. The people are nice and there are lots of clubs that can help with finding long-lasting friendships.
The only thing I have an issue with UW is you have to apply for your major unless you're directly admitted. This can be stressful for many and can cause issues.
I like the city life and how there are many opportunities around Seattle.
I am not the biggest fan of violence and there is much of it on the streets of Seattle.
Being close to the city but still being immersed in the campus environment. The number of things they can offer around the campus.
The Seattle freeze.
The classes I've taken at UW so far have been engaging and informative. There are lots of opportunities to get involved on campus, both with RSOs and in research. In addition, the surrounding area is gorgeous.
Some of the introductory level courses can be quite challenging weed out courses.
