To a practicing Catholic, it's refreshing to find an atmosphere like UD's. It's chock-full of priests, Sisters, religious brothers, and like-minded university students all wanting to get to Heaven. You can tell everyone yearns for the Truth, the One Truth, Jesus. Everyone is friendly and willing to help, especially professors. The people at UD just want to see you succeed!
There is a drinking and party scene at UD. We get a lot of students at UD here on athletic scholarships so sometimes they don't specifically care for UD like others. Either way, if partying isn't your thing then stay away from late nights at TGIT, stay away from the Mill apartments, and go to Groundhog with good friends you trust. Don't stay out too late.
The University of Dallas strives to enrich and enhance the minds and souls of its students. The core curriculum and the fantastic professors worked to develop and stretch the mind of the students by providing a rigorous yet fulfilling educational experience.
The campus atmosphere, such as the dormitories and the buildings, is less than ideal. However, in the light of the great social and educational aspects, these aspects become trivial.
Come to UD is your search for the Truth. The classes, professors, and students all are there to promote liberal education.
There is so much reading in the required core classes and not a lot to offer outside of the academics.
