UCA is like a home away from home! I have made wonderful social and occupational connections just by being a student here. Use any resources that are available to you (disability resource center, counseling center, career services, etc.)
Dorm life definitely needs some improvement.
The overall good college experience.
Be ready to study and focus on your goals.
UCA is a beautiful campus. It is very walkable. I really liked how friendly the faculty and staff are on campus, they are always ready to help!
Be sure to make a solid group of friends. Finals season gets very lonely and stressful, and having good friends can make a world of a difference!
I’m a non-traditional student at UCA, but it has been the best experience I’ve had thus far. Everyone at UCA cares and takes their roles seriously. Professors want you to apply yourself, but the staff is always there to support you. I absolutely love UCA! They want you to win. My Addiction Studies Department is beyond supportive and we are like a family. I love how everyone involved constantly uplifts you to continue pursuing your dreams when you feel moments of defeat. UCA is family. For any upcoming students, I’ll advise you that if you are serious about your studies and your future UCA is the school for you. If you don’t know what direction to go UCA is there to help you figure it out!!!
I love everything about UCA. I have never felt this type of support from previous schools I attended.
It’s a great school in a small town.
What I like about the University of Central Arkansas is the supportive atmosphere that I have had with my professors as well as the liveliness of the students which keeps the experience interesting. From the educational standpoint, one's experience varies with every semester, however, I can say that aside from a few bumps in the road, my experience has been quite fulfilling and there are many resources available that provide support if such a thing is needed.
It is a very lively campus at times, but the food is amazing.
