There are an abundance of professors at Pierce that are actually passionate about their jobs which makes the course worthwhile. Pierce is also a very active campus that constantly hosts events to benefit students.
Some classes are hard to get to, like the music hall that you have to climb up five flights of stairs to.
LAPC is a small community college that I would recommend to anyone looking to continue their education. The campus is very well-identified with signage so you can know exactly where you are going. The student service building provides all of the different department offices that any student can visit for assistance with enrollment, records, financial aid, and counseling.
The student services counter hours are a bit restrictive.
There are many great teachers who actually care.
Too many students for the admin to help set up good appointments.
I attended Pierce for four years and finished my high school education there. The location is close to public transportation. It's a beautiful large campus with a farm attached for agriculture and veterinary students. I made good friends and found some of my favorite professors so far, who inspired me and helped me choose my current path of study. Out of the LA community colleges, I recommend choosing Pierce.
Be aware that this college has a large student population, so if you prefer very small environments, you should choose a different one. Still, this is a great choice if you'd like to go beyond your comfort zone and meet lots of new people.
I liked how it’s free because it’s a community college. The education is alright, I like the format for asynchronous online classes because they were easy to get work done on my own time, especially while having a full-time job.
Sometimes the professors aren’t very understanding about different people's situations. I wish they would review more materials.
Pierce College has helped me in more ways than I can say. From my mental health to my basic needs such as having food on the table or being able to use toothpaste to brush my teeth, I am extremely grateful!
I can honestly say there was not a thing I did not like about Pierce College.
