WHAT I LIKED

Grossmont College has amazing social and financial support for its students. Because it's a community college, two years of free schooling are offered. There are also many support groups for students with children, low-income students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The only suggestion I would have for Grossmont College is that the college should host more community-building events.

WHAT I LIKED

What I like about Grossmont College is that it had helped me find excellent opportunities related to my major, it gives me open job opportunities, and they give me good financial aid support.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

What I didn't like about Grossmont College was that they only gave me a way to pay for my school fees with financial aid and they only give me a tutoring job at the open computer lab.

WHAT I LIKED

I liked that I had the freedom and responsibility to choose my classes and when to take them. I also loved how serene the campus was. It is a very nice college.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There were a few professors I didn't like due to their poor/inability to teach and/or care about their students.

WHAT I LIKED

I have taken online courses and I find that most of my professors are excellent at ensuring that their students understand the material and think beyond the course. I was skeptical about taking online courses but honestly, I prefer going to classes in person. Not only that but it is much cheaper than going to a university and if you apply for federal aid, you can get the first two years free, as I did, and get your associate's degree.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

My main issue is the counselors. It is hard to book an appointment and it takes forever for them to get back. There are a few great ones that I have worked with but I have also heard many complaints about them as well.
