Teaching low-incidence/Autistic students

Denise K. Emberton was a beloved wife who devoted her life to helping Autistic students.

1 in 44 children in the US is autistic, with boys being four times more likely to be diagnosed than girls. Those from minority groups are less likely to be officially diagnosed and are typically diagnosed later in life

This scholarship aims to support a future educator who has a desire to teach low-incidence or Autistic children.

Any high school senior or undergraduate student who is majoring in special education with a 3.5 GPA or higher and a desire to teach low-incidence or Autistic students may apply for this scholarship.

To apply, tell us how your work with low-incidence children will benefit the world.
